im really drawn to shots like this i suppose its not to every ones taste but thats one thing ive learnt on shutter, you can take shots to please other people or you can take shots you like yourself.
Hi Silbo. I also really enjoy these shots, but strangely enough, we don't seem to see too much grafitti over here. Years ago, when I still lived in England, I did one of these on an old Praktika in a subway at night. I set up on a tripod, put the shutter to bulb and fired my flash gun all over the place on test three or four times. I was totally astounded by the result. This is also a great shot. Granted, it is not everyone's cup of tea, but as you say, post to please yourself. Nicely done. Only crit would be the reflections of the lights on the left side pillars. Many regards, Neil.
silbo: Thanks Neil,i must admit my photography is going in a different direction for the moment but its nice sometimes to follow that i think
This is great Silbo, was it on the tripod, pretty steady for a 1/5th. Mal
silbo: No hand held,I notice its mal from germany now,any reson for that ? thanks for the support mate you know where im trying to go with my work and I appreciate that
I often think it's a pity that most UK graffiti is pretty boring and limited to names and initials. That doesn't mean I don't quite like this shot, if I'd been there I might have done the same.
Silbo i think mal is reading your graffiti and changing his persona to the tagger. It is refreshing to see these abstracts that you are posting. nice work
It would not have occurred to me to take this picture, but now that I see the result I quite like it.

It's what's called the aesthetic Silbo. I love shots like this but over the years I've just come to appreciate that some people love macro shots of insects etc.
I'm a great believer in the suggestion that you make pictures of subjects that have had a bearing on your life. I've lived most of my life in cities and seen a lot of social problems. Guess what, I'm hopeless at taking nature based shots.
Anyway, I like this picture a lot and the linear divisions interest me.
